Answers on trials, billing, access codes, and using the SynkMind apps.
Yes — every exam course includes a 1-day free trial with no credit card required. It starts by itself the first time you open the course with a verified account, and everything in the course is open while it runs. There is one trial per person per product: a second account does not get a second trial. When it ends, subscribe to keep studying; nothing is charged unless you choose a plan.
Live Patient (OSCE) works differently: there is no trial period, but your first station is free.
Open the product page, create a free account with your email, and verify it (check your inbox). Once verified you're taken straight into the course with your trial active. Most courses open on Exam Studio, where you build a practice test. You sign in with your email and password (there is no Google or Apple sign-in); one account works across every SynkMind course.
Every plan includes the full course — the lectures, the complete question bank, the practice exams, Axon's written explanations on every question, spaced-repetition flashcards, a study plan and analytics. There are no locked tiers; longer plans just cost less per month. Two things are bought separately because each minute costs us real money: spoken sessions with Axon Live (after your free 15 minutes) and Live Patient stations.
Every exam we sell is on the home page, grouped by profession — medicine, pre-health admissions, nursing, behavior analysis, social work, psychology and counseling, physical therapy, pharmacy, medical coding and dentistry. Exams marked Coming soon or Roadmap are not open yet; their page has a Notify me button. Each exam is its own course with its own trial and its own subscription.
Med School is SynkMind for medical students in the preclinical years (AUA and AUC today), sold directly to the student: your own school's modules as narrated lectures, block exams, Weak Spots and flashcards on a schedule. It is one plan, paid monthly by the student, with a 1-day free trial once per person. A class code from your school puts you in your school's modules; it does not pay for access.
Open Settings → Billing & Subscription inside the product. You can switch plans or cancel there — cancelling keeps your access until the end of the period you've paid for, and no further charge is made. You don't need to email us or give a reason. Payments and cancellations are handled securely through Stripe.
All sales are final: SynkMind is a digital product delivered the moment you pay, so we don't refund unused time, a renewal you forgot to cancel, or a change of mind — you agree to this at checkout. Cancel any time to stop the next renewal. Two things we always put right: being charged twice for the same period through a fault on our side, or being charged after your cancellation took effect. Email support@synkmind.com with the date and amount. The full wording is in our Terms.
Yes — each exam is its own subscription, so a BCBA plan does not open NCLEX-RN. Every exam course has the same four plans (monthly, 3 months, 6 months, 12 months); longer plans cost less per month. Every plan renews automatically at the end of its period until you cancel. Prices are in US dollars and shown on each product page and in the billing screen. Have a discount code? Enter it in the Have a discount code? box on the plan screen before you pay.
Credit and debit cards, processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
Your billing page lists every invoice. Stripe also emails a receipt after each payment. Need a formal invoice for reimbursement? Email support@synkmind.com.
Create your free account, then enter the code on your dashboard or in the product's billing screen (or click the activation link you were emailed) to unlock your access. If your code is locked to a school email domain, sign up with that email. A code that won't redeem needs a person to look at it — email support@synkmind.com with the code and your account email.
Just subscribe to any plan from the product's billing screen. Your progress, notes, and analytics all carry over.
Make sure you're signed in with an active trial or subscription. If it's your first visit of the day, the server may be waking up — give it a few seconds and refresh. If they're still locked, email us and we'll check your access.
Exam Studio is where you build a practice test, and the first page most courses open on. Every question you can open — the mock exams, the Synk Forms (with their Medium and Hard versions where a course has them) and the question bank — is one pool with duplicates removed. Filter it by system, discipline and topic; choose Unused, Got wrong, Flagged, Skipped or Got right; pick a level; then choose Tutor (answers as you go), Timed (the real exam's pace) or Exam day (timed, no pausing, no going back). A test you build is saved, resumes on any device, and appears in History.
Yes. Open History in the course and choose any past sitting — a mock, a Synk Form or a test you built in Exam Studio. You see every question with your answer, the right answer, the explanation, and what you flagged or skipped. Retake all sits the same questions again, and Retake what I missed sits only the ones you got wrong; in the same order or shuffled, in Tutor or Timed. A retake is saved as a new sitting, so the original review is never overwritten.
Synk Forms are SynkMind's own original practice papers. On some courses (the course page says which), each mock exam also comes in Medium and Hard versions beside the Standard one, so you can sit the same blueprint again at a higher difficulty; on USMLE Step 1 there are 29 Synk Forms with three variants each. SynkMind does not sell NBME self-assessments or any exam board's own practice forms. Every question is written for SynkMind to the exam's public content outline — nothing is copied from a real exam, and we are not affiliated with any exam board.
Axon is SynkMind's tutor. In writing, it is on every question — ask why an answer is right and it explains. Axon Live is the spoken version: you talk to it out loud and it teaches the section you're on, drawing on a whiteboard as it goes. Every account gets 15 free minutes once; after that you add minutes in packs from the Axon room, and bought minutes never expire.
Live Patient is a spoken OSCE: a simulated patient answers exactly what you ask, and you get a marksheet that quotes your words back. There is no subscription. Your first station is free; after that you buy encounters in packs, and they never expire. If you never said anything in a station, the credit comes back automatically. Start at /live-patient.
Yes — SynkMind works in any modern mobile browser and you can add it to your home screen. A full offline mode is on the roadmap; today an internet connection is needed to load and sync your progress.
Flashcards are spaced-repetition cards built from the highest-yield topics — rate each one and the app schedules your next review. High-Yield surfaces the most-tested concepts by tier, and Analytics shows your accuracy and mastery by domain so you know exactly what to drill next.
Because it is a review, not new work. A lecture is learned once — read it, consolidate it, take its knowledge check, tick it — and from then on it shows a green Done badge. It then comes back a few times, a few days apart, so it sticks. Reviews are listed separately under Reviews due, and each one says why it is back and how many are left (for example “Review 1 of 2 · quiz yourself instead of rereading”).
How many reviews you get is your study depth, under Your day in the plan: Once through (no reviews unless the knowledge check goes under 60%), Balanced (two: questions the next day and a revisit a week later) or Thorough (four). Fewer reviews take less time. Score 85% or more on a review and the next one is skipped for you, with a button to keep it. Any review’s menu also has “Done, and stop reviewing” — you can undo that from the Done tab. Practice exams are scheduled the same way whatever you choose.
Your account is the source of truth, so signing in on any device brings your progress with you. If something looks out of date, refresh — sync happens in the background. Still off? Email us with your account email.
Where a course has a student community, its link (WhatsApp, Discord or Telegram) is in that course's sidebar. Med School has a chat room per lecture, organised by the lecture you're on.
Every page has a light and a dark mode, and lectures on most courses are narrated with the text following along. If anything gets in your way — with a screen reader, the keyboard, colour or text size — email support@synkmind.com and tell us what you use; we treat it as a bug.
Check your spam/promotions folder first. Verification links are valid for 24 hours. Note: some email providers automatically open links to scan them — if that happens, your email may already be verified, so just try signing in. Still stuck? Email support@synkmind.com and we'll verify you manually.
Your account is very likely already active (an email scanner may have opened the link for you). Just go to the product and sign in. If sign-in doesn't work, email us and we'll sort it out fast.
Use "Forgot password?" on the sign-in screen and we'll email you a reset link.
One account can be signed in on two devices at once — a phone and a computer, say. Signing in on a third device signs out the one you used least recently, and that device shows a message saying so. Your progress is never lost; it lives on your account. You can see your signed-in devices, and sign out everywhere else, on your profile. Accounts are personal, so sharing a login with others will keep signing each of you out.
Your profile has your products and billing, a box to enter an access code, where you're signed in (with Sign out everywhere else), your calendar feed, study reminders and reminder emails, the theme, a password reset by secure email link, Reset all progress and Delete account. To change the email address on your account, email support@synkmind.com.
On your profile, choose Delete account. Everything is erased within 30 days; payment records are kept for 7 years because accounting law requires it. Cancel any subscription first so nothing renews.
We never sell your data. Our AI features run on DeepSeek, whose servers are in China — they receive the text of what you ask, never your name, email or account id. Your AI conversations are stored so you can reopen them, and only the first two parts of your IP address are kept.
