Assess first. Then the instrument.
The sciences under the chair, the dental hygiene process of care and community oral health — at hygienist scope, with the dentist’s diagnoses and treatment left where they belong.
At the end of a nitrous oxide–oxygen sedation appointment, the hygienist prepares to recover the patient. What is the correct recovery procedure?
Post-operative 100% oxygen for about five minutes prevents diffusion hypoxia and ensures full recovery before dismissal. Abrupt removal risks diffusion hypoxia; 100% oxygen must be given first. Increasing nitrous deepens sedation rather than recovering the patient. The patient should receive 100% oxygen from the unit, not merely room air, to prevent diffusion hypoxia.
The process of care, area by area.
The NBDHE is 350 questions: 200 discipline-based across three areas, then 150 on patient cases. Every question here carries its area, so you see which part of the process of care is short.

Every plan opens everything. These are the five that matter most for this exam, shown the way you’ll meet them.
Twelve practice papers of 200
The real paper is 350 questions. Our practice papers are 200 items. Every item is tagged to the three JCNDE content areas, so your score is reported area by area. 1,961 original questions in all, counted once.
- Timed, or in tutor mode explaining as you go
- A form of only what you got wrong
Every form with its real size. Difficulty is the form’s own rating.
Every wrong answer gets its own reason
Each explanation says why the right answer is right and why each distractor fails — the exact line you would want if you had picked it. Every item is checked blind by a second AI model that never sees the key. This one is a real item from the On-level 1 form.
At a maintenance visit, a previously stable site now shows a 2 mm increase in probing depth with BOP.
The most appropriate response is:
A tutor who asks what you do first — and why
Say what you are stuck on, out loud. Axon teaches the section in the voice of the dental hygiene national board (JCNDE), draws the reasoning on a board as it speaks, and quizzes you on it before it moves on. It knows your syllabus, your weak spots and where you left off.
- Teach me, Quiz me, I’ll listen, Why I missed it, Cram
- Fifteen free minutes to meet it, once; top up in packs after that
- Every session leaves a recap you can reopen
“The nitrous is off and the appointment is over. Before you sit her up — what does she breathe, for how long, and what are you watching for?”
Six lectures. A check after every section.
54 sections, each closed by its own knowledge check. Select any word on any page and Define opens a one-line meaning, why it matters and what it connects to — written for this exam.
Four of the 6 lectures, by their real titles. The bars are an example of checks passed. Audio narration for NBDHE is on its way; the text is all here today.
Weak Spots, and a plan that reschedules itself
Your true score per area, settled from every answer you give anywhere in the course. The plan books the red ones around your week — hand it a screenshot of your timetable — gives every lecture seven spaced looks, and carries forward whatever a missed day ate.

Before you start
Are the practice exams the real length?
The real NBDHE is 350 questions: 200 discipline-based, then 150 on twelve to fifteen patient cases. Our twelve practice papers are 200 items each (the discipline-based component); the full mock draws 350 from all of them. Case-based testlets with charts and radiographs are not built yet, and we say so.
Why do some lectures come from the INBDE course?
The hygiene bank is built on the same dental core as our INBDE course, so four of the six lectures are that core’s — the biomedical sciences, radiology and diagnosis, oral medicine and ethics — read at the hygienist’s depth. The other two are written for the hygienist: the process of care and community health and research.
Are these real exam questions?
No. Every item is original, written to the public content outline and checked blind by a second AI model that never sees the key. Nothing is copied from a published form, and we are not affiliated with any examining board.
